Coveted (Gwen Sparks Series, Book 3) By Stephanie Nelson

“Coveted” by Stephanie Nelson is the third book in the Gwen Sparks Series. It’s an amazing read with lots of excitement, sexual tension, intrigue and action.
This installment starts with Gwen and Aiden talking about what happend (in Deceived, book 2), why he acted that way. He also tells her that he’s not giving up on her, but Gwen doesn’t want to have nothing to do with men or relationships right now. But it’s easy said than done, since her roommate is the sexy “Death” angel who can’t keep his hands off of her. She struggles with her feelings and the sexual tension with Dorian.
On top of that, being a spirit walker put her life in danger. There is a bounty placed on Gwen. Rogues tracking her and not stop to get the job done.

We also learn more about the interesting and mysterious Dorian. I love him and his relationship with Gwen. So you can imagine that the ending made me very happy except for the cliffhanger mentioned in the epilogue. I must say I definitely didn’t expect that. Maybe it was better if I hadn’t read it, because I can’t wait until next summer to know what happens next (hopefully the epilogue will quickly resolved in a good way).

This Series just keeps getting better and better with every book and “Coveted” is for me the best installment yet. I enjoyed and loved this book. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. Let me say, that I read the whole book in just one day.

I’m definitely looking forward for the next book in this Series, I highly recommend this!!

Iced: A Dani O’Malley Novel (Fever Series) By Karen Marie Moning

“Iced: A Dani O’Malley Novel” by Karen Marie Moning is the sixth book in the Fever Series and it begins where we left off with “Shadowfever” (book 5). It’s fecking fantastic. It’s dangerous, sexy and dark.

I have to admit that when I heard that Karen was writing a book with Dani as the main character, I was scared picking up this book. In the Fever Series Dani was such an annoying character. She went on my nerves on more than one occasions. But I should have trusted Karen more, because she created an amazing story.

Dani “Mega” O’Malley: 14 years old girl, but way more mature on the inside. One of the Sidhe-Seers and possessing rare talents ever seen among the Seed-Seers and the powerful “Sword of Light”. Abused by her mother and left alone when she was only 8, then used for killing. She is stubborn, intelligent and observant.
Ryodan: Hot, sexy, dangeruous and totally Alpha male who just takes what he wants! He has an interest in Dani (since at a young age (9). His men wanted her dead, because she may become a threat) and forces her to work for him (to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks). He watched/watches over her, sees her future womanly potential and wants her as his woman when she reaches it. He is very controlling when it comes to Dani.
Christian McKeltar: Becoming an Unseelie Prince, obsessed with Dani and trying to be her protector. He sees her as the woman she’s become and is willing to wait for her to grow up.
Dancer: 17 years old, super smart and Dani’s best friend (with secrets). But he might be a potential love interest for Dani in the upcoming books.
Lor: Member of the Nine. We learn a little more about him and the seven in this book. Like him, he’s a lot of humor.
Mac and Barrons: There are just glimpses of them and that’s it.

All in all, I loved and enjoyed this book so much. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. It’s entertaining, fast paced and full of actions. The plot is amazing, interesting characters and well written…Karen Marie Moning doesn’t disappoint!!

I’m definitely looking forward for the next book, can’t wait…I highly recommend this!!!

Impulse (A Mageri Series Novel, Book 3) By Dannika Dark

“Impulse” by Dannika Dark is the third book in the Mageri Series. It’s a very emotional read with lots of romance, mystery and action.

In this installment a lot of things happen and we learn so much information. We learn more about the characters, their history and how that made them who they are. We also get more information about Silver’s parents and what makes Silver so special. Also we learn a lot about the “Chitah” culture.

In this book we meet new characters. Christian, a vampire. I really like him and hope to see more of him in the next book. And Page, a Relic.

Silver: She’s grown in the past year, but still she has a lot to learn. (She’s immature and acting like a child sometimes and that got me irritated and angry. You don’t want to know how many times I smacked my forehead.)

Justus: Finally we learn more about him in this book, about his past and why he acts the way he does. Oh, Justus…

Adam: Poor Adam. I feel so sorry for him. He doesn’t deserve what happened to him.

Simon: How can you not love him? He’s funny and adorable. Let’s don’t forget his sexy hilarious humor.

Logan: Hmm…Logan, Logan,…I don’t know why everyone loves him. I just can’t stand him (from the beginning, so that’s not because he’s dating Silver). His courting and protectiveness for Silver is really annoying. I think he’s the only character that I really don’t like.

But let me say that ALL “Silver and Logan” fans will be not disappointed!!

The ending is heartbreaking…made me cry.

All in all, I liked and enjoyed this book very much. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. I read the whole book in just one day. Interesting characters, well written,…Dannika Dark did an amazing job!! Before reading this book, you have to read Sterling (book 1) and Twist (book 2) and for everyone who have not yet picked up the first three installments of “The Mageri Series”, read them!!

I’m definitely looking forward for the next book in this Series, I highly recommend this!!

AND NOW…THE FIRST-EVER LOOK AT THE FOURTH BOOK IN THE HUSH, HUSH SAGA.

I’m not a party girl. The earsplitting music, the gyrating bodies, the inebriated smiles-not my thing. My ideal Saturday night would be at home, snuggling on the sofa and watching a rom-com with my boyfriend, Patch. Predictable, low-key…normal. My name is Nora Grey, and while I used to be an average American teen, buying my clothes at the J. Crew outlet and spending my babysitting money on iTunes, normal and I have recently become perfect strangers. As in, I wouldn’t know normal if it marched up and poked me in the eye.

Drink Deep & Biting Cold (A Chicagoland Vampires Novel, book 5 & 6) By Chloe Neill

So, I’ve just finished reading “Drink Deep” and “Biting Cold” (A Chicagoland Vampires Novel, Book 5 & 6) by Chloe Neill and I LOVED them…they’re really amazing!!

“Drink Deep: A Chicagoland Vampires Novel” by Chloe Neill is the 5th book in the Chicagoland Vampires Series and it starts with Merit and the “Cadogan House” still reeling from Ethans’s death. Also there is the representative of Greenwich Presidium, Frank Cabot, who was sent to evaluate the Cadogan House and making everyone’s live miserable.
Then things start getting crazy; the Lake Michigan turns black, the skies over Chicago turn red and of course the vampires are automatically blamed. So, to save the House, the vampire race and Chicago, Merit has to figure out the mystery behind the strange happenings.
The plot is interesting, entertaining, a lot darker than the previous ones and full of little twists and surprises. In this book the things move a bit slower and there is a huge hole where Ethan should be (oh my, I really missed him).
I must say that I felt like it was not really integral to the Series except for the last chapters which are amazing. Even though this isn’t my favorite in the Series, I enjoyed reading this installment.

I also liked Jonah quite a lot in this book. He’s cute and funny. Merit and Jonah end up partnering on a number of investigations and he is still trying to convince her to join the Red Guard. He seems to be a potential love interest for Merit, but don’t worry…cause Merit is still mourning Ethan and there is always Ethan in her dreams and thoughts. To be honest, I feel a little bit sorry for Jonah.

All in all, I highly recommend this book.

“Biting Cold: A Chicagoland Vampires Novel” by Chloe Neill is the 6th book in the Chicagoland Vampires Series and it starts with Merit and Ethan being on a road trip to Nebraska in hopes of stopping Mallory, who escaped after being taken into custody by The Order from getting her hands on the book “Maleficium”. Merit is torn over what to do with Mallory, who was her best friend before. Will Merit be able to save her? But Mallory isn’t the only one who wants the book. Seth wants it too.
There is also the Greenwich Presidium, not happy about Fraklin Cabot being kicked out of Cadogan House. Darius, the head of the organization, is now coming for a visit and Cadogan faces now the possibility of being ex-communicated.

After Ethan is brought back from the dead by Mallory, he is now connected to her, which raises some new issues between him and Merit. He keeps her at arm’s distance and Merit is not happy about it. And again, like Merit says “one step forward, two steps back”. I thought we’d gotten past this, but I guess I was wrong. At the same time I also can understand Ethan’s reasons, but I’m glad that Merit doesn’t give up on him…so, in the end (finally) Ethan and Merit have a reunion.

I was so happy to have Ethan back. Oh my, I missed him…I missed Merit and Ethan fighting each other over everything (I love when they do that).

In this book we finally find out what Seth is and it’s definitely what you don’t expect and the ending is woooww, loved it!! Can’t wait to see what happens next!!

I enjoyed and loved this book. It’s a fast-paced story filled with a lot of action and emotion….Chloe Neill doesn’t disappoint!!

I’m definitely looking forward for the next book in this Series, I highly recommend this to those that are already fans of the Chicagoland Vampires.!!

Blood Fever (The Watchers, book 3) By Veronica Wolff

“Blood Fever: The Watchers” by Veronica Wolff is the 3rd book in the “Watchers” Series. It starts with the beginning of the fall semester, and a new crop of Acari and Trainees have descended on the Isle of Night. Bodies start turning up on the island and people are beginning to suspect that Drew or Carden are responsible for murders. Also the vampire Alcántara is gunning for Carden, even tough Drew has the proof that Carden had nothing to do with the murders. Now she has to find out who is behind all of the attacks before something bad really happens to herself or someone that she cares about…

Drew has a new roommate named Mei-Ling. She is different from the other girls as she didn’t chose this life and what the vampires had to do to get her…Drew seems having no choice but to protect her new roommate.
There is also the bond with “the Scottish vampire” Carden which is becoming harder to ignore. That keeps Drew suspicious of her own desires. She wants to make sure that not just her hormones are involved, but also her heart.

Carden is definitely one of my favorite characters. He’s not like the other vampires on the Isle. Carden is willing to give Drew what she wanted (like to sever the bond), even though he needed/wanted her.

I don’t know what to say about Alcántara. I really liked him in the first two books, but now I don’t know…I’m still surprised about his actions. Not sure whether it was because he is scared of Carden or jealous..?! Did he know about the bond..did he feel the attraction between Drew and Carden?!

This Series just keeps getting better and better with every book and “Blood Fever” is for me the best installment yet. I enjoyed and loved this book. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down *literally*. Let me say, that I read the whole book in just one day.
It’s entertaining, fast paced and full of action. The characters are interesting. Well written.

I’m definitely looking forward for the next book in this Series, I highly recommend this!!

Stalking The Others (An H&W Investigations Novel, book 4) By Jess Haines

“Stalking The Others” by Jess Haines is the fourth book in the “H&W Investigations” Series and follows straight on from “Deceived By The Others” with the betrayal of the ex-boyfriend, Chaz, and his werewolf pack. In this book you see, Shia fighting to find Chaz and take revenge on him for what he did to her and also on one of his pack, Dillon, who has possibly turned her into a were. So, with the help of her belt (we learn more about the history of it and his name is Isaac) and of the White Hats…they hunt the Others.

If you want to know what happens in this book then go pick it up! Seriously, I highly recommend this!!

I enjoyed and loved this book. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down! I think “STO” is one of the best of this Series, even if we don’t see Royce much here (and let me tell you, I’m a big fan of him. He’s one of my favorite characters). But don’t worry, cause our Royce does make two appearances (and what appearences he makes…oh la la) and the ending…OMG!! I waited for that I don’t know how long…since book 1?! *lol* I LOVE it and don’t let’s forget the sneak peak of the next book in the Series, “Forsaken By The Others”. It’s really a good one.

Oh, Haines…you’re killing me. Do you really think I can wait an entire year for the next book? Well, maybe I shall not think about the end. ;)

Anyway it’s an amazing action-packed read, the wait was definitely worth it…Jess Haines doesn’t disappoint!!

Stalking The Others (An H&W Investigations Novel, book 4) Signed By Jess Haines

Hello everyone, look what came in the mail a few days ago….

….YEEESSSSSSSS, “Stalking The Others” signed by Jess Haines. OMG I was (and still I am) soooo HAPPY and excited!!! :D

I mean I went to see if there was any mail and I see there is a package for me wondering who the heck would send it. *lol* Believe me, when I saw who was the sender I just stand there, frozen and staring at the package for a few seconds. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Then I went totally crazy…

…jumping with the package in my hands like a little kid who got his favorite toy *LITERALLY*.

I think it was a good thing no one was at home…hehe…I also called my mom who is with the rest of the family on vacation, cause I needed to tell to someone about it and she was like “Oh, honey…I’m very happy for you. But tell me, how do you know the author..? Do you know her..? Why would she send a book to you?” Oh my, she started asking questions. I mean, couldn’t she just, like, be happy for me?

Well, I guess no… *lol* ;)

Anyway I smiled the entire day (I couldn’t stop smiling), can you believe that? I don’t know how to say/describe it, but it was such a fantastic feeling!!

This really means a lot to me, thank you very very very much, Jess!!! :D

MARRIED OR NOT YOU SHOULD READ THIS!!!! (MARRIED GUY SPEAKING)

When I got home that night, my wife was serving dinner. I held her hand and said, “I’ ve got something to tell you”. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But, I had to let her know what I was thinking. “I want a divorce”. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, “Why?”. I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, “you are not a man!”. That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer. She had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her! With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources, and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me, her cry was actually a kind of rele ase. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now. The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again. In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage. This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into our bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom, to the front door every morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable, I accepted her odd request. I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. “No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce”, she said scornfully. My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed so when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, “Daddy is holding mommy in his arms”. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly, “Don’t tell our son about the divorce”. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office. On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face and her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her. On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger. One morning, she was choosing what to wear. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, “all my dresses have grown bigger”. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me. She had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously, I reached out and touched her head. Our son came in at the moment and said, “Dad, it’ s time to carry mom out”. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day. But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, “I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy”. I drove to office, jumped out of the car swiftly, without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind. I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, “Sorry Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore”. She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. “Do you have a fever”, She asked. I moved her hand off my head. “Sorry Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart”. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, ‘I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart’. That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face. I ran up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed….dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was too busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from whatever negative reaction it would have on our son, in case we pushed through with the divorce. —At least, in the eyes of our son—-I’m a loving husband. THE SMALL DETAILS OF YOUR LIVES ARE WHAT REALLY MATTER IN A RELATIONSHIP. “IT’S NOT” the Mansion or House, the Car, Property, the Money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do you have a real happy marriage! If you don’t share this, nothing will happen to you. If you do, you just might save a marriage. Most of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up… YOU DONT REALIZE WHAT YOU HAVE UNTIL ITS GONE!! ***PLEASE RE-POST & PASS THIS

OMG I’ve been really touched by reading this and it’s so true…you don’t realize what you have until its gone. We really should appreciate what we have and every special moment!!!
